'RailTone' Product range - Selection guide

RailTone generators are fully static digital sound generators for train cabs. Since the RailTone ‘1’ introduced in 1999, the product range has grown with increased performances.

This selection guide gives an overview of the RailTone Product range and replacement solutions for older products.

RailTone NG Tone Generator

The last generation of our RailTone product range : 12 universal battery inputs; RS422/RS485, CAN and Ethernet links for remote control; Powered from the train battery or Power Over Ethernet; USB connection for on-board reprogramming; Optional 2 GB SD-card for sounds samples memory extension; Optional additional remote loudspeaker.
User software for the sounds configuration and parameters settings.
High-fidelity reproduction; automatic adjustment of sounds acoustical level according to ambient noise.

RailTone Evolution '6 Sounds' Tone Generator

The last generation of our Railtone product range : 6 universal battery inputs; RS422/RS485 link for remote control; USB connection for on-board reprogramming.

RailTone+ Tone Generator

This very compact generator is installed in the cab’s roofs and is directly powered by the train battery.
The tones are controlled by 6 universal logical inputs or by a serial link RS422 or RS485.
High-fidelity reproduction; automatic adjustment of sounds acoustical level according to ambient noise.

Harmony Duo Tone Generator

Redundant Tone Generator packed in an electronic 19″/3U slide-in rack.
The speakers are installed in the cab and use a line transformer for sound level adjustment.
The generators can reproduce up to 12 different tones simultaneously.

Safetone SIL2 Safety Tone Generator

Specially designed for the metro of Paris (RATP), this sound generator allows to reproduce sounds in the driving cab with a safety integrity level SIL2 as to avoid any risk of accident when passengers doors are closed.
